POG II

I finished my POG II essay today and published it.

In my last POG, my idea of government was to have limited power with little or no government. After the ideal society simulation, I’m not so sure I agree with what I said before.

For my first key point, I’m going to bring up the 4th amendment.
The fourth amendment states our right to privacy. The government had access to our thoughts and everything we did through our iChip. That technically is an invasion of privacy, but because of terrorists and whatnot the government has special access and rights. Then again, if the government can read our rights, how is that privacy?

Key point number two: Impeachment powers. Congress has the right to impeach the president or any other member of the Legislative branch as long as they have 2/3 of the vote. Our President was almost impeached because the citizens didn’t think she was doing a good job, and even believed that she was doing terrorist threats.

Key point number three: the first amendment. Our first amendment rights state that we have freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press to state the basics. The citizens of our iDeal society used that right as well as they could. They protested against the iChip protesting that it was unconstitutional and dangerous. That preceded a Supreme Court case; Cooper vs. AppleCorp, ad Apple won. Attorney Mcshea stated that one death in a 3 million people was hardly a reason to panic over the iChip.

In conclusion, I don’t exactly think that our constitution can resolve conflicts effectively. My reasons are that at least in our ideal simulation, our government wasn’t very strong; it was more weak then anything.
I don’t believe that the government should have so many loopholes in our rights, such as being able to read our thoughts. Our founding fathers didn’t write the constitution for our rights to be abused. Since we have such a well written constitution of rights, shouldn’t they be used right?

Picture Examination

I examined a picture from my eighth grade graduation last year.
It was a group picture of our whole class, right before the end of the dance.
Everyone in the picture looks really happy and excited, but just moments after the picture was taken, we were all upset and crying because we'd be leaving each other. But before the phtograph was taken, everyone was happy and having fun. At the time, everyone was pretty much thinking about how they look and if they were going to make it in the picture. The photo was taken for us, but as you can see, it was a pretty random photo because no one was really ready at the time. I would give the photo a title of...well....i don't know.

My Philosophy

I don't think much about government but i do have opinions about it and don't agree with a lot of the things that have been happening.
For example, i am pro choice and don't agree with the people who believe that abortion should be illegalized. I am also in supportof the war and our troops.
